“Your biggest challenge isn’t someone else. It’s the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells “CAN’T,” but you don’t listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper “CAN.” And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.” – Unknown
Your biggest challenge is to overcome the voice that says, “CAN’T.”
You’ll know you have overcome it when you start thinking along the lines of why you can instead of why you can’t.
Unfortunately as easy as this transition may seem, some live their entire life as a victim of “CAN’T.” They view the world through the eyes of someone who thinks they can’t do this and they can’t do that. They spend a lifetime in this state and hence they never succeed in life.
Minds are intended to be an asset; however some folks have become imprisoned by their mind. Their lack luster vision and their negative mindset will destroy any chance of success before they even begin.
We all have this voice in our head that states why we can’t do something. It may be quiet or it may be loud. Regardless, if you never make the transition from can’t to can, you will never see success.
How will you succeed if you don’t believe in your ability to succeed?
It won’t happen.
Hence this is your greatest challenge.
It’s the challenge which determines who goes on to succeed and who is destined to fail.
Now it’s time for you to get real with yourself.
What’s your mindset like towards the world, are you someone who sees the light or someone who sees darkness in a situation?
There are ultimately two types of people, those who get turned on by the benefits and those who become frightened by the risks. The former are the people who believe they can and the latter consist of people who believe they can’t.
In life you have to take risks. You have to push it to the limit and never retreat. But you will never reach this stage if you view every new endeavor as something that is destined to fail.
Before something manifests, you first have to believe in its ability to manifest.
If you have already defeated the CAN’T voice, congratulations. But the fight is not over. It’s important for you to separate yourself from the people who are still being held victim by the word, can’t. It’s vital for you to cut yourself loose from these people because in due time their mindset will begin to rub off on you and that’s definitely not what you want to happen.
Now with that out the way, let’s shift the attention back to your dreams.
How do you view your dreams, do you believe it’s just a matter of time before you are blessed with success or are you just waiting to fail?
The answer to this question does not come in words; instead the answer is evident in your actions.
Those who believe they can, never get discouraged when the road gets tough. Whereas those who believe they can’t, become weak minded and begin to think about giving it up. Those who believe they can, muster on in the face of adversity. Those who believe they can’t, let life beat them. Those who believe they can, fight till their death. On the contrary, those who believe they can’t, surrender.
So with all of this understood, the final question that remains is…
Are you a CAN or a CAN’T person?
The answer to the above question determines the quality of the rest of your life. If you’re a CAN’T person, it’s time for you to make some changes. Your mindset is everything.
Make friends with your mind and the world becomes your oyster. Create an enemy out of your mind and you’ll have a very tough time seeing success.
The road you decide to travel on is up to you and I leave it at that.
