How To Use This One Concept To Double Your Productivity

I was spinning my wheels, living life with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake.

It was life in the quicksand. And I was headed nowhere fast.

Can you relate?

If you find yourself on the hamster wheel, spinning in circles…

I have good news for you.

You can get off anytime. And actually start doing the shit you want.

But I know. I know…

Doing the shit you want is hard and nothing is going your way. Plus there’s a million other obstacles and excuses in your way.

I get it.

But only you can reverse the tide. I can’t do shit for you. I don’t even know what I’m doing half the time.

Only you can change the forecast.

How do you change it?

Change it by becoming more productive.

How do you become more productive?

By following my one rule below:

Do what’s right, instead of what’s easy.

What the hell does this mean?

It means when your alarm clock goes off in the morning, you can either hit the snooze button and go back to sleep (easy) or turn it off and jump out of bed (the right thing).

It means when you’re feeling lazy, lethargic, and unmotivated, you can either surrender to the temptation and throw on a movie (easy) or you can put on your running shoes and go to the gym (the right thing).

It means when your brain is fried and your energy is low, you can either crawl into bed and go to sleep (easy) or you can write your daily blog post like you promised you would (the right thing).

I’m glad I did the right thing, instead of the easy thing. If I hadn’t, you wouldn’t be reading this right now.

That’s all I got.

Peace.
