There are two types of people in this world. The ones that go on to succeed and the ones that do not. The category you fit in determines the quality of your life. You can have it all, or you can settle for some. The choice is yours. Your actions determine the decision. So it’s important to realize the difference between the two. What makes an average person? And what makes a successful person? The answers to these questions shall allow you to change your behavior so you can become in sync with the person you want to be.
The Difference Between The Average And The Successful
1. The Average Settle, The Successful Don’t Stop
Mediocrity is defined by your level of drive. If you keep pursuing REGARDLESS of the success you have achieved, you will make it to the top of the world. However, if you let some successes along the way distract you and have you feeling like you have conquered all there is to conquer, you will not go very far. Successes are very short lived so stop riding and boasting about your successes that occurred yesterday. Yesterday is gone and gone with it are your successes and your failures. Today’s a new day to shine. So claim victory today. That is what the successful do. They don’t live off their successes, instead they create new ones.
2. The Average Give A Half Assed Effort, The Successful Are Committed
Your level of commitment determines your level of success. You have to be 100% committed. The average on the other hand aren’t and that is why they do not go on to achieve big things in life. Instead their mentality is entirely different. They just throw a bunch of things against the wall and hope that something will stick. Hence they move from dream to dream, without having accomplished anything. On the flip side, the successful are committed to make whatever they throw against the wall, STICK. You see the difference?
3. The Average Possess A Weak Mind And Are Easily Swayed, The Successful Are Strong Minded Individuals Who Do Not Budge
When you begin to dream big, you are going to be met with a lot of opposition. There are going to be tons and tons of people who are going to laugh at your face and say, “HA! You’ve got to be kidding me. You can’t do that.” Well the average and the successful will react completely different to these comments. The average will begin to agree with the person. The successful will go on to take a completely different attitude. The successful will aim to shut them up by succeeding. The average will begin to have doubts. The successful will begin to generate confidence in themselves. The average will get down on themselves. The successful will work like never before. The average will stop. The successful will succeed.
4. The Average Stop When They Hear “NO”, The Successful Don’t Take “NO” For An Answer
There is always a way. Remember that. No matter how big or how small the obstacle, you can overcome it. If you let your mind run wild, you will find a solution. The successful are very much aware of this, the average person on the hand aren’t. The average give up on their dreams, whereas the successful work night and day to overcome the hurdle. Obstacles are a way of life. The average get scared and frightened when they encounter an obstacle, the successful begin to smile because there is another challenge that they WILL overcome…even if it kills them.
5. The Average Let Fear Stop Them, The Successful Let Fear Guide Them To New Heights
“Fear is your best friend or your worst enemy. It’s like fire. If you can control it, it can cook for you; it can heat your house. If you can’t control it, it will burn everything around you and destroy you. If you can control your fear, it makes you more alert, like a deer coming across the lawn.” – Mike Tyson
