Between birth and death, you are granted life.
From the day you were born, your time began to tick down. From your first day on earth, you’ve been moving towards death. This is obvious, but what’s uncertain is what is the meaning of life? What are we supposed to do with our time on earth? How are we supposed to live? You know just like I do, there is no manual which answers these questions. Instead life symbolizes freedom. The freedom to lead and live your life in the manner you please.
With that stated, below is what I think life is all about…
1. Creating memories
There’s going to come a time when you grow old and weary, when you reach this state, all you’re going to have is memories.
You know how old people cling on to the past and are quick to muster up stories from their childhood? Well that’s going to be you one day.
Whether it be on your death bed or at a retirement home, you’re going to cling on to some memories.
Therefore, the entire purpose of living is to create great memories. To face fear and do the deed anyways. To embark on adventures and create the best memories of your life.
In this day and age, we have become so accustomed to doing the same old things, day in and day out.
We’ve been drifting away from creating memories and have been shifting towards a tedious lifestyle.
Your job is to reverse the process while you still can.
A dull life is a wasted life.
2. Daring to do the improbable
I view life to be a game, that’s all it is in my eyes. The objective of this game is to achieve what others believe to be impossible.
When you wake up in the morning and your feet touch the ground, be the person who doesn’t take “NO” for an answer. Be the person who has a god like spirit, the person who can move mountains and do what others thought was improbable.
A lot of people tend to play it safe, but you know as I know, the lives that are extraordinary are the lives that are lived in an extraordinary manner.
You cannot conform to society and expect to have lived a marvelous life.
You have to break away from the traps society has set and instead strive to do the improbable.
3. Putting your dreams before your fears
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your fears are the main force which is holding you back.
Hence, the entire purpose of living is to do away with our fears.
Fears will always be felt, but you need to reach a state where fear no longer influences the way you live your life.
4. Living in a breathtaking way
Don’t just live, LIVE.
Don’t just do, DO.
Don’t just be, BE.
Don’t just love, LOVE.
If you’re going to do something, do it to your full potential.
Focus on the now. That is all you have.

I just finished reading it the other day and it completely blew my mind, top 3 on my list for sure.
5. Meeting people who change your life
Meet folks from all walks of life. Expand your circle.
You never know who has the potential to change your life, so seek out strangers and become acquainted.
6. Going on eye opening journeys
By doing so you’ll not only expand your mind, but you’ll see the beauty of life.
7. Trying new things
Don’t become accustomed to the same old things, spice it up.
If you’re not trying new things, you’re stagnant.
Always be on the move. Keep trying and keep doing.
8. Kicking ass
Kick life’s ass. Beat the obstacles before you and reach success. Don’t be the effect, be the cause. Don’t be the patient, be the agent.
9. Improving on what you were given
Will you die in the same condition you were born in or will you push your life to new heights?
Life’s all about improving, becoming better today than you were yesterday.
Become a lifelong learner and focus on changing your circumstances.
If you’re living in shitty circumstances, strive for better.
If your circumstances are good, strive for greater circumstances.
If your circumstances are great, strive for excellence.
What I’m trying to say is you should always focus on pushing your life forward.
Never be satisfied.
10. Proving people wrong
On this journey of life you’re bound to meet folks who criticize, look down upon you, laugh at you, and doubt you.
However, that’s all great because the greatest joy in life is proving others wrong, doing what they said you could never do, becoming the person they said you’d never be.
11. Changing the globe
During your lifetime, the world is yours.
It’s in your hands.
It’s your job to mold it and change it for the better.
Play your role.
Don’t just sit back while others create their ding in the universe, get off the sidelines and play the game too. Create your own change.
12. Leading the masses
Become a leader.
Life isn’t meant to be lived in the shadows of a leader.
Of course sometimes it’s required to be a follower, but don’t become a conformist. It’s your job to lead too.
Life is also all about leading your own life.
Like I stated earlier, life is about freedom, the freedom to do what you want.
With that stated, you have to lead your own life. If there’s one thing you get from this article it should be the following…
Don’t let anyone else control the direction of your life, make your own decisions and take charge of your own life.
13. Doing everything you said you were going to do
When it’s all said and done and you’re another fellow in the local cemetery, will you have done what you set out to do?
14. Remaining strong when the entire world is trying to break you
Let’s face it; life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Like Rocky said, it’s a mean and nasty place (at times).
Hence, you are bound to experience some lows. But don’t let anything break you.
Show life your true colors. Wear your heart on your sleeve and refuse to lose.
15. Taking risks while you still can
Take risks while you still can because if you don’t, you’ll regret not doing so when you no longer can.
16. Inspiring others
Break out from the masses, find your true identity and strike out on your own. Your bravery is bound to inspire those you left behind.
17. Giving your name meaning
You were born and were given a name. At birth, your name didn’t really stand for anything. But when you die, people will remember you by your name.
When you’re dead and gone, people will hear your name and they will attach some sort of meaning to it.
They will remember you in a certain light.
For instance, what do you think of when you hear the following names…?
Michael Jackson. Steve Jobs. Tupac Shakur. Einstein. Thomas Edison. John F Kennedy.
Now the only question that remains is what others will think of when they hear your name after you have passed.
Remember, the way you live your life and spend your time on earth determines the viewpoints that become attached to your name.
And lastly I end this article with one of my favorite quotes from Ken Hudgins…
“The meaning of life is to give life meaning.”
