“Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course? Each of us has such a bank. Its name is time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against “tomorrow.” You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success. The clock is running. Make the most of today.” – Anonymous
One life. One dream. One shot. One opportunity.
You, me, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, JK Rowling all got 24 hours in a day. The way we spend these 24 hours determine if we fly or if we get crushed. Your time is your greatest resource. You can have all the money in the world, but you will not be able to buy back your time on earth.
For that reason, you need to take control of your time and simply live it to the limit. Dare to dream, take chances, be fearless and never quit.
If you are wondering why your today sucks, it’s because your yesterday sucked. Think about that. You didn’t engage in the necessary tasks yesterday in order to create a splendid today.
What you sow today, you reap tomorrow.
In addition so many of us put off things for tomorrow, but what if tomorrow arrives and you are not there to greet it? What then?
If you were to die, today…would you be content with the way you lived your life?
Did you achieve your dreams? Did you fulfill your purpose? Did you do what you said you were going to do?
If you answered “NO” to the above, the clock is ticking, however as long as your heart is beating, you still have a chance.
Enough is enough. Take control of your time. The argument of not having enough time is utter BS because you make time. Yes, you only have 24 hours in a day, but you choose how to allocate these hours. For that reason, you do have enough time in a day to do what you want to do. You simply need to stop making excuses and take control.
Nothing is going to come to you.
If you want it, YOU HAVE TO GET IT.
Point. Blank. Period.
Time waits for no man or woman. Life keeps moving on. It’s like a car with no brakes. It keeps moving forward. You are inside that car. One day, that car is going to drop you off at your tombstone. For that reason, you need to break out of your false sense of reality and realize the clock on your dreams is ticking.
With each new day, you are getting closer and closer to your termination date. Don’t let your dreams die with you. Instead live now and become all that you can be so when you die, your dreams will still live on. They’ll still remain on this earth. Your legacy will be that of a DOER, not of a dreamer.
So strive to do what you said you were going to do.
Tick tock goes the clock. The hours pass and the day’s end…with death getting closer and closer.
Hence you need to invest your time towards something you truly desire. If you keep letting your time slip away, you will regret it later.
Keep wasting your precious time and you will suffer the consequences when your heart is filled with regret right before you take your last breath.
I know it seems hard because we sort of believe we are going to be here forever. We act as if death is decades and decades away. However, death could be right around the corner for you or me. As a result, we cannot afford to waste another second.
Our dream life is out there and it awaits us, the only question that remains is…
