For some, life is just a game. For others, life is a drag. Regardless of your stance, life is life and it is up to you to live it in whichever way you please.

The next man or woman cannot decide how you should spend your time on earth. Instead, it is up to you and only you. You can spend your time chasing money, chasing dreams, chasing women, chasing whatever.

What you decide to do is completely up to you.

You can choose to fly or you can choose to crumble. It’s your life and you make the decisions which give rise to the type of life you lead.

With that noted, below are some tips I recommend you keep in the back of your mind when it comes to this thing we call, life.

1. Be aggressive in all areas of your life. If you want something, do whatever it takes to get it. Don’t be a wisher, be a doer. If you desire something, work for it. Don’t sit back. Be brave and attack things head on. Go towards opportunities because opportunities will never come to you.

Whether it be in your professional matters or personal matters, we all desire something.

Our wish list is huge.

Therefore, if you truly want to make your wishes become a reality, you have to be aggressive. You have to possess the hustler’s mentality.

A hustler does not sit back, a hustler, hustles.

You have to hustle in order to get what you want. Whether you want that new Lamborghini or whether you want a promotion at your job, dedicate yourself and be aggressive.

The way you go about doing this is by taking charge and taking control of your mind, soul and body.

You have to devote your mind and direct your body.

Attack. Attack. Attack.

There are two types of people, one group resembles Poodles and the other group resembles Pit Bulls. You can either be a poodle or you can be a pit bull. Which one are you? If you want to take your life to the top, you have to become a pit bull.

You will get beat and stomped on, if you are a poodle.

You need to be aggressive. Fight for what you believe in and never let up.

2. Don’t compare yourself to others. Don’t concern yourself with matters that don’t concern you. Focus on yourself. Don’t worry about what they are doing, worry about what you’re doing. At the end of the day, you, NOT them, are going to have to live with the way you spent your time on earth.

Whatever you focus on expands.

You can either focus on them and hence grant others more power, or you can do what successful people do and focus on yourself.

It doesn’t matter what those around you are doing because they are not you.

Only you are you.

You have unique talents and characteristics and it’ll be a shame for you to follow the herd when you could use those talents to create an everlasting change in this world.

I say this because so many of us are influenced by those around us. We soon find ourselves doing things not because we want to do them, but because the people around us are doing them.

Be you.

The metaphor below really brings things into perspective.

Some of us are born hockey players, but we follow the masses and try our luck at basketball.

What I’m trying to say is everything is not made for everybody.

You have unique talents and traits, use them.

Form your own vision and follow your own dream. If you follow the herd, you’re living, but at the same time, you’re not REALLY living.

You are unique. You are the only one who walks, talks, and thinks in the way you do.

You are destined for great things.

Don’t waste your time worrying about what those around you are doing.

If you want to create an extraordinary life, you have to shift your focus and direct it towards yourself.

Compete against yourself. Your today should be better than your yesterday. Your tomorrow should be richer and more joyful than your today.

You’re racing against the clock. You’re racing against the time you have left on this earth.

Always remember, it doesn’t matter how your yesterday played out, you can create a better today.

You can snap out of it right this second and say I will not stand for mediocrity anymore. From now on, everything I do will be characterized with excellence.

Life is all about making progress.

You cannot progress if you are monitoring other peeps performance. Monitor yourself and you shall rise.

3. Take chances and be bold. The only way to make it is by taking risks. Life is one big game. If you want to advance in this game of life, you have to take risks.

Either you’re a coward or you’re a soldier.

You can view life through the eyes of a coward or a soldier.

Soldiers take risks and hence lead their life in the direction they want it to go. A coward sits back and never takes action.

If you want the most from life, you have to take risks.

Be crazy. Be brave. Be bold. Be a soldier.

You only get one kick at life. You only got one shot. Make it worth your wild.
